I have the front AND rear Hellwig. The front is a slight improvement but when you adjust the rear the back stays planted! No roll.

 

To my knowledge, the 1500 trucks do not come with rear sways. As for the Tahoe rear sway for a truck, I doubt it. Trucks use leaf springs and yukons use coils. Different mounting.

 

I still haven't had a chance to go crawl under a Tahoe at a dealership yet and see if a rear one will work on a pickup. Probably going to try this weekend since I have absolutely nothing to do this weekend. I suspect it'll require some fabrication for the frame side. But on the axle side it shouldn't matter.

I have a 14SF in the back of my truck. It looks like the Addco Manufacturing #2397 bar wasn't designed for a larger tube diameter but I haven't confirmed this. It also looks iffy as to whether it'll go over the larger 14SF housing. Looks like it costs ~$185 shipped. Bunch of people here gripe about the hardware being crap.

The Hellwig #7800 looks like it was designed to be put on the GMT800 1500HD trucks so it should fit with the 14SF. But it costs ~$260 shipped.

I have to do something about my sway issues because the wife says it makes her carsick. My truck has the Z60 suspension package with the 36mm front sway bar. Going over bumps does cause it to roll side to side since the front of the truck with its 3100lbs (a thousand pounds porkier than the rear) and giant sway bar dictates what the rest of the truck does. And I get irritated with it also.

So, I need to find a viable and affordable solution that doesn't get in the way of the other crap I have under the truck.

 

So, I finally went and looked at a GMC/Cadillac dealership. They only had half ton stuff there, looks to me like they're going to end up going out of business. Didn't even have a single Denali. I'm going to hit up a Chevy dealership sometime and see if the old GMT800 2500HD/3500s had anything for a rear sway bar.

Anyway:

10383661 is a 1.125" sway bar found on Avalanches, Escalade EXTs, Suburbans, Yukon XLs, and Escalade ESVs in the current generation.

10383662 is a 1" sway bar found on Tahoes, Yukons, and Escalades in the current generation.

All of these mount the same way. The sway bar mounts on the bottom of the axle under where the spring plates would be if they weren't coil sprung. The end links go to the frame just outboard of the frame rails. The eyes in the sway bar are designed for bolts that go parallel to the axleshafts. The eyes are 44" apart. The arms are parallel to the frame rail.

To me, it's too much work to spend $100 on the sway bar (for the 1.125" version) then spend all the time and resources picking up the rest of the parts and fabricating mounts.

I'm going to see if I can find a GMT800 truck with a rear sway bar. Seems like the only thing I've seen them on is dual-wheeled 3500s. Can anyone confirm?
