A while back I had mentioned to a good friend of mine "wouldn't it be neat if when license plates get into the G's, I got a set of plates that said GMT 900?"
Well it seems they thought that would have been neat too because they managed to track them down from an insurance broker and snag them for me!
I'm going to be in debt to them for a while I think! Lol

I didn't like the look of the controller that came with the Alky Control kit so I came up with my own. I wanted something that looks as OEM as possible so I hunted around for a **** that matched the interior and I used a tow/haul mode switch from a shift lever. I have a little bit of wiring left and the led's to install and then its done.

I haven't yet no. I put it off to the side for now but it is still on my agenda. I think I'm going to order up a Nick Williams 102mm throttle body so I'll sort it out at that time.

Picked up a gauge pod from 2007chevy5.3l. It's a very nice piece, hoping to get some paint for it tomorrow. I think the Cobalt SS gauge will look slick once it's all installed.

Called up New Era Performance today and ordered up a natural finish Nick Williams 102mm throttle body. Also got another set of 315/60 ET Street radials as there's not much life left on the set that's on the truck.

Next items on my list are (in no particular order or time frame):

-GT2-3 cam and DOD delete
-Injector Dynamics injectors
-Caltracs
-Have Circle D beef up the trans.

15mm doesn't sound like much but this unit sure looks big compared to the 87mm!

So I ran into snag today with the throttle body, it won't work on the Lysholm inlet. I took the stock 87mm unit off and the adapter to find a 78mm inlet opening and there isn't enough meat to hog it out. I could machine the adapter to work but I don't think that would be worthwhile because the air will still be hitting a 78mm roadblock right after the 102.

I looked over the CAD drawings of the head unit and the bolt pattern for the inlet is symetrical. I'm thinking I could probably use Lysholms Camaro inlet and flip it to the passenger side. The cross section of the Camaro inlet is substantially larger than the trucks inlet so that's a bonus. Plus I won't have to use an adapter and there is enough meat to open it up to 102mm.

I've inquired to Lysholm about getting a Camaro inlet so I hope this all pans out. Props to Mike at New Era for replying emails instantly after hours, I was not expecting that! A little research discovered that Whipple's truck inlets are 90mm with the ability to be opened up to 112mm. +1 for Whipple. Hell or high water I'm going to make this work!

Finished installing the Methanol injection today. I'm very happy with the way everything turned out, the controller in the dash almost looks OEM and I also ran hard steel line for the methanol. Ran a test and everything works as it should.

That really sucks! You should see a nice gain when you get that inlet restriction removed. How much is the Camaro inlet?
