I believe the vortecmax trucks came with rear disc brakes or the JD9 option.

What gains did you see from the new pulley?Yourlast dyno numbers weren't on a Mustang were they? I'm curious to see how far off I am from you tq/hp wise as well as 1/4. I know you have wayyy better headers but I think I have a better exhaust setup headers back.

Then again, I can't expect the true 3" duals to work in my favor too much being my headers have 1 5/8" primaries and 2 1/2" collectors. (when I bought the headers I thought they were 1 3/4" with 3" primaries)

I believe your headers would have 18.84 sq. in total at the collectors squeezing into 9.42 at the Y pipe (factory is 3" iirc). I am no expert on exhaust systems so I don't know what size exhaust system headers back would be optimum for the best back pressure, but I would think that the stock y is too small for the twin screw.

My headers sq in would be 15.7 at the collectors then going into the 18.84 sq. in after collectors.

Did I do the math right? hahaha

I wonder which of our complete systems would be better with our vts2300's?

I tried the dynolicious app but it was on the stock tires so hook was a problem. If I correct the 60' to what I had at the track then the time would be about 12.20@110 but take that for what it's worth. All I know is it pulls very well over how it was last summer.

All my dyno numbers before and after have all been on a mustang dyno.

I am not using my smallest pulley yet, still sporting the 3.65". Ill try the 3.2" after I run it to see the differences.

I am not using the stock Y pipe, I'm using ARH's Y pipe. The only part of the exhaust that's stock is from the flex coupler back. It's quiet and I like it that way. To me it's not worth having the noise for minimal gain. Plus I get away with telling people my truck is stock.

Ah crap I just noticed you wrote 5.3. My bad.

Was or is it possible to get the JD9 option on the 5.3 or was that just available with the 14 bolts?

I was told by Pete at Vortech that the Mustang, as well as informed by other sources that the mustang's ratings are generally 15-20% lower than other dynos so i'd be curious to see what our trucks make on different dynos.

So they gave you those pulleys for free? If so I'm gonna have to give them a ring. I would have rather had that than a damn shirt.

Oh ok I gotcha. I wonder how much the flex coupler back is hurting you? The noise is a battle I am fighting right now. It is way too loud with the bullets. I have an extra magnaflow 3" dual in/out with built in x-pipe that I might put in place of the bullets but I already have an x-pipe ahead of the bullets. I'd rather not pay for extra piping to take the x pipe off so I guess i might just end up with 2x pipes. We shall see how that sounds.

A dyno is just a tuning tool, I wouldn't be to concerned about a number. Track times is what counts.

They threw the pulleys in for free because they had my truck for 4 months r&d'ing it. They told me 3 weeks initially so after a few months of emailing weekly to see where they were at, I asked them about other pulleys for future mods so the guy said he'd just put them in the cab of the truck. I did have to pay for shirts though.

I have a factory duramax exhaust I was going to make work but I think the stock 6.2 exhaust might work better. If I find one I'd be willing to try that.
