Default Update after a year of use on My OBX headers

Thought I would post an update after having the OBX on after a year to show how they held up. I've had no leaks and no cracks. The headers themselves are not rusty, but have the typical gold/blue tarnish. The Y pipe and cats look like crap. They are rusting, but still functioning. Looks like the pricing on headers has dropped quite a bit since I bought mine. Think these are about $500-$550 shipped. I still think these aren't a bad deal for the price, but I think I would like to get some 1 7/8" headers.

I'm confused on the cats and no cats.

I thought with the obx the "cats" were just resonators?

They have both. The cats are more expensive, but they still threw codes in my truck. I think the o2 sensors were too close. I didn't mess with adjusting them and just turned them off.

Thanks for the update . Your truck runs and sounds awesome .

Salt kills everything , even stainless .

I used to do pipeing for Morton Salt , every 6 months we had to replace a sch80(Xtra heavy wall ) 316 stainless 3" line that carried salt slurry to there process equipment , it would eat right thru , salt is worse than Acid .
It should be illegal to put on the roads !

So are the OBX 3" or 2.5" collector on the 6.2 headers?

They are holding up well for cheap headers and I live in the salt spread capital during the winter months. OBX are 2.5" collectors. I'm not sure why they didn't make those larger. Probably tooling costs. I was planning to do some runs, but my mileage is getting up there and I'm starting to have drive train issues. I put the nitrous on it and the 100K+ mileage is not liking it. I did a dyno when i put on my circle D triple disk, but it didn't dyno high. It was at 340 HP, but it was on a Mustang Dynamometer and I guess they typically measure lower than a dynojet. I had the nitrous on it, but i didn't run it. I'm not convinced this tune is as good as my old one. I think it needs tweaked.

Did you need 02 extensions or anything?
