mine does that every time i drive it...it was so bad that it would throw me into limp mode if i got on the throttle from a stop and would not reset if i just restarted the engine...had to pull neg battery cable to reset...anyway we actually narrowed it down to ecm...changed it and the stabil trac/traction control message still comes on but it doesnt throw me into limp mode anymore...

Mine used to do it alot before I pulled the trans for the stall swap. After the swap ive only had it come on once... Guess its a bad connection somewhere?

Most likely it's your steering wheel position sensor.

They're VERY problematic on the NNBS trucks. My SD needs one right now, as a matter of fact. Keeps setting a C0710 code.

i read that, and started laughing. then i realized you weren't kidding. there is such a thing as a "SWPS".

ZR1 forum thread about code C0710

i'll have to check the connector for corrosion, and see if it stops doing it.

I am having the same issue with my '07 Tahoe LT 5.3L. Message Center cycles: Service Stabilitrak, Service Traction Control, then it goes to Engine Power is Reduced and rides like a farm tractor. Happened on Friday 12/7. Parked it for a few hours then drove it home about 15 miles. Drove fine today, but last night went bonkers again. I took it to the dealer today and they said I need a new throttle body. Got 98,000 miles on the clock, never had a problem before. I will change out the thottle body and an evap solenoid that's been bad for awhile and report back. They said I have 5 codes at the dealer. I changed the battery over the w/e and installed a new air filter, both of which were overdue.

See if you can get the codes they said you had.. be curious to see what they were.

Never would have guessed the throttle body....

Seen the TB cause it a number of times. Its a problem with the TPS in the early throttle bodies(07-08). Pt#12580760 if memory serves me but GM recently released a TPS service and replacement kit too (haven't memorized that # yet).

My parents 09 Sierra has been in for 2 throttle bodies now...which is ridiculous, but it's also friggin cold here and brutal on everything.

If it was my vehicle, I'd take the TB off and clean everything out, but these DBW throttle bodies are kinda alien to me.
