Removing cats for MPG tahoe w/ 5.3

Also if I am not mistaken Lean cruise will heat them up and trigger COT and make it dump fuel to compensate. Its been along time since I messed with this stuff as I have off road mid pipes.

Cats are off. If i dont like the results i will flash the stock file back on and put them back.

Only thing you'll gain by ditching the cats is noise and smell

not trying to jack the thread but how much performance would be picked up by gutting/removing cats

None that's noticeable unless they are stopped up or well on the way to being dead.

You might see a 2-3 horse improvement max and only way you'd ever know it is if you made a back to back dyno pull.
