I had a 2010 with a 6.2 and 3.42 gears and it would NOT spin the tires from a dead stop. After a tune it would do it easily and catch 2nd most of the time. I now have a 2011 with the 6.2 and 3.73 gears and it would spin the tires stock. After a tune, and CAI it will get pretty stupid when ever you want it to. I actually had my tuner put some more TM in the truck because all it wanted to do was spin the tires when you mashed on it.

I have a hard time believing going from 3.42 to 3.73 can make so much difference considering 1st gear is already so low in the 6L80E. My boss has an '08 Escalade AWD w/ 22s and it can scratch all 4 tires on launch. Do I go to the dealer and complain that my truck won't smoke em up?

i laid down a nice chunk of rubber on the test drive with traction control on. since i signed papers i haven't laid my foot off in it. trying to accomplish a descent mpg.
