Default Please read if you have Kook's Headers

If you have Kook's on your truck and it is a 2003-2008 model, please post a picture of where your Y Pipe meets the stock or aftermarket exhaust please. Please also note what part number you are running for the Y pipe.

Thanks!

You do realize that the only truck of the list that will be a direct match is the NNBS 07 trucks?

Thank you for proving my point.

I'd still like pictures of anyone, preferably someone with a 2007/2008, to post pictures of their Y pipe flange and provide me with the part number they are using.

As far as I know, there is only one choice: Cats or without cats. I ordered the catted y-pipe.

If your Y Pipe is screwed up(like mine and the other guy with the 6.2), please call Kook's immediately and let them know!

So between the both of you guys, there is already 8 variations on just Y-pipe depending on engine and year....

07-08 5.3 2.75" 2-bolt flange catted or off-road

09-11 5.3 2.75" band clamp catted or off-road

07-08 6.2 3.5" 2-bolt flange catted or off-road

09-11 6.2 3.5" band clamp catted or off-road

Then you can get 1.75" or 1.875" primaries on top of that....

Your best bet would be to call an actual knowledgeable vendor and talk on the phone. Ask what year they stopped using the 2 bolt exhaust flange. If they don't know immediately, hang up. Just going to cause headaches. I got mine from Maryland Speed and they knew exactly what I needed. Don't rely on any website, even Kooks'.

For older trucks, from what I have seen, the 2 bolt flange is angled more than the GMT900s. So they most likely won't bolt up either. Listing 03-08 is really mis-leading.

My order was on hold for 6 weeks because they did not know what to do about my y pipe because I had the new band clamp style, which according to them, they do not make a y-pipe for. After they finally contacted me I told them **** it, just send me a 2-bolt flange style and I will order a catback exhaust (Corsa) that will work with it. So now I hear they DO have different y pipe setups I can say that I am not pleased. I knew that you could get different primary sizes, which is why I went with Kooks because I wanted 1 7/8". The only other company making 1 7/8" primary headers had users here reporting clearance issues. All my crap is still in the boxes, I've only had it out to look it over. No mock ups or anything yet and will go ahead with the install sunday. If there are issues I will NOT be pleased.
