Thumbs up Patrick G dyno tune!

First, I'd like to give Patrick G. and Kurt D. a HUGE thanks for their diligence and hospitality yesterday.

Pat ended up doing about 10 pulls on Kurt's dyno, including the baseline pull. By the way - keep in mind that the baseline pull was with a mail order tune that already had my truck running and driving MUCH better than the stock GM tune. All totalled, Pat and Kurt spent about 4.5 hours tuning my truck!

By the way - if you ever go to Patrick for a dyno tune - make absolutely sure that Kurt gives you a full tour, including his "man cave" - WOW!

Now for the meat of the matter - bottom line - Pat was able to tune my truck to peak gains of 16.2 lb-ft corrected torque, and 15.4 corrected HP. Patrick's final corrected peak numbers - remember this is on Kurt's Mustang Dyno - were 368.348 HP and 384.099 TQ. My conservative calculations indicate 460 HP at the crank - OUTSTANDING!

Pat made sure to discuss his choices during the tuning process - and we agreed to leave the last few HP "on the table", considering the spotty quality of today's pump fuels.

The raw numbers don't even tell 1/2 of the story, however, as his VVT tuning plus his transmission tuning have transformed my truck's driveability! Part throttle response and low RPM torque have made it a dream to drive, and the transmission shifts are clean and crisp - NOT harsh. THIS is the way GM should ship these trucks, but then - of course - Pat, Kurt and all the other tuners would be out of work, LOL!

Once again, thanks - Pat and Kurt have a customer for life!

Had Kurt paved the road back to his dyno yet? And yeah, he has some badass cars in his shop.

Not yet. Definitely an "out of the way" location. Had a bit of a problem finding his "street", as it's not on my GPS. Google Maps showed it on their satellite pics, though.

Raw #'s were even higher, as the air was pretty good yesterday. As I recall, the weather correction factor was pulling about 3-3.5% down from the raw #'s.

Badass numbers for a Mustang dyno, where did you have to travel to for a live tune?

I can't wait to see your track times... what size wheels did you use for the dyno?

Pat uses EFI Live... I see he quit's gaining HP at 5,200 rpm, same as mine after adding headers. I thought that was odd but I feel better now...those headers really pickup the midrange and bottom end once tuned...
