NNBS 2/4 Drop

Default NNBS 2/4 Drop

I've scene alot of posts where yall are taking the lift blocks out and adding the drop shackles for the back. I've also scene that some of you are running the beltech struts to lower the front.

I know that this will only get me close to 2/4 but what are yall's opinions???

And are the beltech struts reliable?

If you put 2 inch spindles in the front, you don't need to worry about reliabilty or how well your suspension works, [ground force are the best imho]

This is what I plan to do to my truck hopefully pretty soon. I think a 2/4 will be a good start and if I want to can always go lower in the future

Love my Belltech struts thus far

Mine is a true 2/4 as opposed to the 2/3 that removing the blocks and lowering struts provide... the extra 1" gets you closer to level. I have about .75" of rake on mine right now. I went with struts so I didn't have to sacrifice turning radius with spindles... plus I didn't have to unbolt the hub, ball joints, sway bar links or tie rod ends.
LTZ wheels with Falken 275/55/20s
Front: Belltech 2" adjustable struts
Rear: DJM rear flip kit/lift hangers, 2" lift shackles

^^ that looks really good. Do you have the tool to compress the spring when installing the struts or did you have a shop do it?

Thanks man, I got a few more pics at home I will load when I get finished with work.

We did it at my buddies shop and he had the spring compressor that mounts on the wall. I personally have never liked those little spring compressors that places like Advanced Auto or Pep Boys rent out... if you have a shop nearby with a spring compressor it would be worth the few bucks they would charge you to swap over the struts imo.

I am VERY happy with the Belltech struts, I have always been satisfied with their Street Performance shocks. They provide a firmer more sporty ride as opposed to the bouncy Rancho shocks that came on my truck. Then the nice thing about the rear flip kit with the lift hangers/shackles if you set them at 4" is you don't have to cut the bump stop mounts off of the frame, you can just trim your factory stops up a little bit. If you have the factory tailpipe it will rub the spring on bumps since the spring will be sitting lower down than the factory position... my plan is to just have mine dumped after the axle.

Its the perfect height for guys who need a little more ground clearance like myself, and who want to be able to haul a load of gravel w/o having helper bags

Your setup sounds like exactly what I am after. I get back home from work today and will check at a few shops to see what they would charge to swap out the struts.

i have belltech struts up front cant complain, i got 2" spindles the struts and springs from belltech, out back its a flip kit with shocks. going on 2 years with them, no issues to date
