Default Nitrous vs boost question???

I'm getting ready to run a 200 shot this weekend, and I'm wondering what the difference in 200hp worth of FI boost vs the 200 shot of nitrous ... I think I know but I'm not 100% sure... And also has anyone run this much on a newer 4.8 or any 4.8 at all , and if so chime in on what u think...

200hp worth of nitrous is 200hp worth of rip-your-face-off power, whenever you want it. Would take 10-12psi on a 4.8 to make that same amount of power. I run the same engine you have, it has seen 18psi and a 50 shot...no issues. Just make sure your tune is good and hit it higher in the rpm and you'll be fine. Wouldn't dare trying to run that much nitrous below 3500rpms. Get over that and you're good.

There was a guy that chimed in on another nitrous thread that said he hit his stock 4.8 with a 225 shot. Took it like a champ. On these NNBS engines I wouldnt be afraid to hit it with 200+ shot

If you want to hit the truck with 200 worth of gas, get some plugs, make sure you don't spray under 3200-ish, and get the tune dialed in right. I don't doubt for a second that the truck will take it. As a side note, a little over 10 psi. w/ the turbo route could easily be done on that 4.8, too. I like nitrous, but I'm actually trying to map out a turbo engine myself.

Well here's where I'm at..... I have money to fill my bottle but I won't have 4000 for a kit til the end of the year... So thats when I'm boosting it, BUT ... Until then lol I'm gonna spray the sh*@ out of this thing ... If all goes well this weekend I'll be getting new solenoids to run at least a 250 .... Going for an 11 on Saturday !!! Lol ... Also I have a 3600-3800 stall and I'm gonna be spraying out of the hole

good luck man, like mentioned if the tune is dead on and with the right plugs ( br7ef) you shouldnt have a problem.

i coasted through the NA setups, now the nitrous setups, there is now a big bore short stroke boosted lsx block in the making, thats all im saying, i will say its easier to throw a couple grand than throw 15 grand at one time and ill never spend my life savings on this crap lol.
