New toys going in
Once the gears get their break in period out of the way the truck will be headed to Circle D for a convertor and 6L80 rebuild. Looking forward to seeing what kind of improvements it will see with the new gearing and a convertor to help get it off the line. Best so far is a 12.89 with the 22" wheels and would like to see a 12.5 or so before going to the LS9 cam, throttle body, and retune before the summer kicks into high gear down in Texas.

It was a package sold by Ron's and the shop I deal with for my work likes to use the Yukon gears over many of the others at this time.
The trans cooler came from a place in the NW through Amazon and the install kit is the EAD kit which required minor modification on the NNBS truck as the stock bracket is welded on versus the bolted on NBS bracket.

Just drove the truck back from the shop. A nice subtle improvement in how the truck drives on the highway. Waiting for the break-in period before I can lay into it some and see how the truetrac feels.
Only concern right now is that it's hard to tell, or feel, the convertor locking up in the overdrive gears. Before it was a noticable change in rpm but now I can't tell a difference and if it's already locked up or not. Hopefully it's nothing of concern at the moment.
New trans cooler mounted behind the intercooler heat exchangers is still keeping trans temps around 130 to 133 on a 65 degree day. Looking forward to getting a few hundred miles on the truck in the next few days.

Haven't discussed pricing on it lately as I am getting the converter built first, but I am estimating about 3k for a fully built, every upgrade, type build. Very possible to get it cheaper than that I think just depends on what options that are purchased with the rebuild.

Yes. This morning was the first time I got into it and I am happy with the results. I think 4.10's would have been too much for my preference. There is a noticable ease in the truck pulling through the gears and leaving the line now where before it was a little sluggish. Doesn't feel like I have the 22's on the truck anymore except for stopping.
My shift points are off now though and I'll have to see about getting them back in line. I made the gear adjustment in HPTuners myself and allowed it to do the automatic scaling as I don't know much of anything about HPtuners. However my shifts had the truck cutting off at each shift this morning during WOT so I am guessing the gear change in the tune didn't scale things as needed. Should be an easy fix once I talk to some people or do some reading today.
