Need opinion on buying a Suburban
#1
Hey all,
I'm looking at buying a suburban, and need your help on whether its a good deal for its condition.
Its a 2009 White Suburban 2500 LS with 300000kms (187000miles). It was formerly a service vehicle for the local power company here, and from the sound of it, is mostly highway miles.
They are asking $9500 Canadian (a little over 9000 US I think). They say everything is in good working order.
Can you please give opinions on if this sounds good, or what to watch out for on these vehicles.
Sorry, but I don't know how to attach pics, but they looks good besides some stone chips on the front end. I know I'm not providing a whole lot to work with, but it would help even knowing how much life this truck would typically have left.

If you have the ability to jack up the front end, check for loose bearings or grinding bearings and bad upper ball joints as both are very common on that body style.
Tranny cooler lines are common for leaking.
Otherwise drive and beat on it some, so you know it an okay truck.
