Yeah no snow here...thankfully.
It may see rain if i am out an get caught in it. Other than that sunny days only.
I am going to go to a Hankook or Nitto 420 later on.
May even go back to a 3:42 gear ratio since i cruise more than anything now

I'll have my narrowed rear end early next week since I am on days I am not going to rush trying to get it this week.
I'll also detail/paint whatever I need before I install the wheels for good.
22x9 all around
front has 6.5" backspacing, rear has 4" backspacing. rear end is narrowed 2" on each side. I will probably end up rolling the fender lip up and MAYBE getting the wheel wells sprayed with bed liner/bed done too.

It has done good so far, no i didn't swap rotors or pads bc i planned to redo the drums at the same time. Well now the rear end is getting swapped so i'll be bleeding the system then.
I dont think i am getting the upgraded calipers on this rear end, but does anyone know about how much the dual piston (oem caliper) setup would run me? Change rotors too or can i run the same ones on it being they are new?

My 2008 gmc sierra 8.6" 10 bolt axles. There is a tone ring right behind the axle bearing. They are both the same ID, but that section of the axle is the biggest OD of the whole axle. Making the newer axles a PITA to swap in an older model rear end.
You can live with an abs/traction control light. Yet honestly i am NOT willing to hack up a 30k truck just to run the narrowed rear end i bought with my wheels.
I have yet to find a way to "trick" the rear sensors, so i am going to just spend the money to cut my stock rear end down.
2.5" max is all you can do on the rear end outside of the leaf spring perches towards the wheel. So i am going to go with narrowing the center section between the leaf springs. Relocate my shocks to the rear of the axle. Had that plan for later on in the year, but what better time than now i guess.
I am not wanting to go coil overs or anything. Just a good shock to make the truck ride good. Maybe an adjustable set for track use but i dont know yet.
I am going to narrow my stock rear end 3" just incase i want to run a cheap 15x10 wheel for DRs and it not stick out past the fender/hit the bed.

Pretty solid brackets.

Brackets to relocate my shocks to the rear
I have all my brake parts for the disc brake swap to clear 15" wheels.
Moser is suppose to be shipping my new axles out this week. They are going to have the ABS shoulder just like the oem axle. I had them install their studs so i don't have to press my stock ones out.
I have my new gears, yukon rebuild kit, still have to order axle bearings and seals.
I don't know if anyone else knows this, but i ditched the MCG and DJM flip kits for weld on leaf perches. I have a new set to add to the rear end since i will be smoothing the whole axle and starting fresh.
