Default My cheap lowering "kit"

Couldn't bring myself to pay a ton if money for how little I wanted to lower my truck. I decided to cine up with a way to do it cheaply. Front struts flipped to under the a-arms and 2" shack with removed blocks in the rear. Spent $14 on grade 8 bolts, nuts and washers for the front and about $60 for the shackles and spacers for the u bolts.

Post some pics of that front end setup. I'd be interested to see it!

I also had to get a camber kit from rough country to get the alignment correct. I didn’t have enough adjustment left. That was probably the most difficult part due to grinding the upper control arm holes.

I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with those bolts not breaking off with downward force from a pothole. I bought the Belltech 2/3 drop kit myself.

I live in a pothole.... New Orleans. The roads are awful here. I understand the concern though. The kit from rough country does the exact same thing and figured why not. Driving on it for about 6 mos. now without problem. I consistently check the bolts and haven’t had an issue with stretch but, usually a grade 8 will just snap before stretching.

I considered doing this on my 07 CC truck but didn't feel comfortable with the whole front end of the truck relying on those 4 bolts to keep it from catastrophe lol. I opted for the bell tech struts. They worked out great.

If you drive one like this around Louisiana, you have bigger ***** than I
