Default Mcgaughy's Flip Kit question

I'm in the middle of installing a drop for my nnbs, when I got around to doing the flip kit noticed that the saddle (top left part) wasn't going to fit to well on top of the spring pack bolt. If it sits on this

(taken from the drop sticky) it doesn't exactly sit level but the nut keeps it in a nice place. Do I have to remove the above part? It seems that if I take it out, the bolt from the spring pack will be slammed by the rear end. The nut holding the spring pack together is too big to slip through the saddle, but just small enough to probably get stuck in there with the weight on it.

EDIT: I just remembered, when I took off my djm flip a while back the spring pack bolt had been taken out and put in upside down with the round side on top. Do I have to flip the bolt with this one too?

Take that plate off. On the nbs they aren't bolted down but on nnbs they are. The saddle should sit flat on the leaf, and make sure that the hole is in the front so that it moves the axle to the rear.

Just re read the part about the bolt, when I did mine it was fine. I never flipped it nor did it get stuck in the saddle.

It's weird because the nut won't go into the saddle. The damn hole is too small!

Take the spring pack apart and flip the bolts. My advice is to get ready to put shims in bc the pinion angle will be off

Usually needs a 4 or 6 degree shim to get the pinion angle corrected.

That is why I'm building my own drop kit this Winter. Seems all these Company's that build drop kits just can get it right.

FYI, I just did a belltech flip and it came with 4 degree shims with it...but even if you didn't get them, they aren't that expensive.

Adding shims isnt hard, but the issue is the company should know that their product is placing the pinion angle way off

Atleast with a DJM flip kit you can set your own pinion angle vs adding shims
