soo iv done a lot of research on lowering 4x4's. iv looked at the ground force 9857 2/4 kit and that seems to be the easiest and safest way to do it from what I'm seeing. for guys with lowered 4x4s have you had any issues with your cv angels or any mechanical parts involving drivability. I'm not trying to f<?c: my truck up give it a nice look and the 2/4 kits is what I'm looking for but I'm just trying to get some info. guys with the ground force kit any review.

Quite a few 4x4 guys going lower than 2/4 without any problems at all. I wouldn't worry at all about 2/4.

 

look up member fake_usa. he dropped his 4x4 crew cab 4/6 with no problem. so a 2/4 should give you no problems.

 

I just lowered my 4wd a couple months ago using all belltech products. So far I dont have any issues.

I did 2.5" front and 4" in the rear

Front i did belltech spindles for 2" and beltech struts for .5"

Rear i did belltech 5-6" flip kits. Mounted it on the 5" holes and also added the 1" belltech hanger which would lift your truck after a flip kit to give me the 4" in the rear.

 

You'll be fine with a 2/4 drop for sure. I used spindles, leafs, and shackles and it rides and steers just like stock.

 

ya thats what i was thinking spindles and rear leafs but i was just curious about the cv angles. don't want them blowing out. the ground force people say everything is in working primitives. but i fig id ask members who have it see what they no and see. can't always trust companies lol

 

I have the GF 2/3 spindles and shackles on mine. They were easy to install and the truck rides like stock.

 

im lowered 4/5 and she drives better than it did stock, my angles are striaght

 

If I could do it over, I would do 3/5.
Looks lowered

2/3 looks different , handles good, but only keen observers know it is not stock

 

If I could do it over again I would have done a 3/5 drop instead. The 2/4 is only noticeable next to a stock one.
