I've always liked the looks of the LED interior lights and Licence plate lights.
I found a set of Recon direct replacement interior LED bulbs, but those are to the tune of $80 so pretty steap, and also on the recon site they have replacement bulbs for the 194 licence bulbs which are almost $20 each.

where does everyone get theirs from?
I found a site called LED Lights, Bulbs & Accessories - SUPER BRIGHT LEDS
and they have a
194 6-bulb led replacement that i'd order 2 of for the licence
and
the interior 212-2 replacement 9 bulb led that I believe I need 4 of.
what are the thoughts on that set up? or whats everyone else using?>

 

I admit those are pricey but they are super bright no jokes, I got mine from eBay weeks ago.

What was in your recon dome kit?

 

EBAY! Thats where ive gotten all of mine. I get the 194 5 chip smd ones for 99 cents a pair. They come from cali. And for the dome light i get a 42mm 578 12 led that comes from china.

 

I ordered the interior off ebay.
i'll check into the 194's for the licence lights

 

if you look at the recon kit and compare to pretty much any other kit for domes or license plate they use identical led boards. I cannot remember all the specifics but when i did a light conversion on my green truck i researched who was best and who made the best bulbs and all i gotta say is ebay sellers are the best for price. Recon just thinks their stuff cures cancer so they upcharge. ive gotten the square 36 smd led dome kit from ebay for 1.06. bought two of em and they are UBER bright. best bulb i use, cannot for the life of me find their contact info, is the 194 bulb where it has 5 actual leds on one platform. the top is a wide angle led, and each side has a led facing out so it looks like a windmill. they were my solution to uneven lighting when i did my cluster. i bought a 10 pack for like 6 bucks. though it was 3 years ago... still they are wonderful. I have yet to see what differentiates recon from the rest.

found the ones i got. i didnt buy from this site directly but i bet they ran the ebay store i got them from. either way these are nice. only issue i ever had was polar sensitive bulbs.

by polar sensitive do you mean if I plug them in and it doesnt work just flip them around?
