Default Has anyone installed

A Innovate LC-1 wideband in their NNBS yet? Im trying to figure out where to grab a switched power source. Id like to have the gauge on only when the engine is running. Reason being I listen to my radio alot when the engine is off and the key is turned to the 1st click position. I just dont want my senson to be on all the time when the engine isnt running and reducing its life even more. Hope this makes sense and is all understandable.

ive never seen a 12v power source for when ONLY the engine is running honestly.
if it's such a big deal but it's a pain in the rump, id run it to an ignition 12v and put a switch on it honestly.

i dont know about on only. i did a lot of searching and the only real accessible places on my truck without cutting wires are some fuses in the under hood fuse box. i forget what they were for exactly but they were towards lower right corner and 10 amp. there is like 3 in a row atleast

Dude really? I used to install stereo systems for a living, I could have def helped ya out hahaha. Its cool though i know you needed a free post

Hook it up to an ignition source an you should be good. I wanna say the orange or pink wire in the ignition harness under the steering column. Double check though, been a while since i worked on those
Any accessory source will still turn it on when listening to the radio.

just tap into the fuel pump trigger wire on the relay i did that before but on a older 2001 truck you gunna have to pull the fuse box off to do it but its really easy

Ohh crap sorry Alex! Ive been so caught up in parts and work and everything that you dealing with this sort of stuff totally slipped my mind. If ya want we can meet up this weekend and we can try to find a wire under the column.
