Thanks for the info I'll try that out...

I ordered the cable from a GM supplier with a GM part# so hopefully they don't send me some China knock off ****.

Ok finally got it to work!... Can hit all gears on the 4l80 now. The adjustment thing worked as far as being able to reach all the way to the park position (didn't really feel solid before) but still wasn't able to hit 2nd and 1st. The new 4 speed shift mechanism that mounts to the column shifter came in so pulled my stock one off to compare. Sure enough the 4 speed has the correct detents to allow full range. Parts themselves are damn near identical just the detents are different. By swapping just this part I was able to hit every gear. Didn't have to replace the cable or anything like that....

Guessing the 4speed actuator allows for the 6 speed m and 1 positions but the 6 speed would limit the 4 speed positions.... Probably explains why my shifter feels kinda loose in the m and 1 positions...
