Default Few ?'s (leveling and tuning related)

I picked up a nbs Silverado ex cab.
#1 I put in the 2" drop shackles to level it. (still needs more IMO, but that's later on) My question is do all the nbs trucks have the "lift block" in them? Has anyone removed it to get close to "level" Looks like a free way to help out in the "rake" department?
#2 Will a tune a torq management reduction get rid of the ridiculous acceleration limit this thing has off idle? WOW that blows!!! Not much power to be had under 2k rpm's in these things.
#3 I got a fairly basic LT. Anyone know where to get a cheap remote start keyfob so I can get the remote start working?

Is your truck 2wd or 4wd?

I saw a thread a while back about a dyno run on the Vmax, Tundra, and I think a Hemi (could of been a different truck). Anyway, the Vmax didn't really "turn on" until after 2K rpms. Somebody posted that it was due to emissions regulations in the the tune. I'm not 100% sure on that reason but I know the tune can be adjusted for better acceleration. But judging by your post I'm guessing you have a 5.3. Try posting about this in the tuning and diagnostics section. you will get more responses.

Thanks that is what I needed to know. It's the 5.3 2wd.
What parts did you use for your drop?

CherryPopper,

Did you do your own tuning? Was wondering if so, was you able to make any gains on the tune with the Throttle Body--Blade opening speed? I know off the line my truck is still a turd, but anything above a stand still launch it hauls ***--as much as a relatively stock 4.8 will anyways--LoL. I just know that like the 05-06's these have the advanced ETC's that won't allow the Throttle body blade to open 100% in an instant--instead opens slowly.

Can I remove the factory lift block and just bolt it back up, or do I have to modify anything for it to bolt back together? Such as shorter u-bolts or anything like that....

Default drop

I used the DJM 3" drop kit to get mine level (NNBS EC 4x4 Z71). That kit uses a shackle and a different U bolt setup that removes the block. I sat just a little too low in back. (I did not lower the front, all the kits say 2wd only). Anyway I added the block back in and it was just right. I was more comfortable with the factory axel hardware.

GM makes a remote start install kit for that truck.
