Default CV nut size on 2012 K1500

Whats the size of the CV hub nut on the 1500 4X4 trucks? I have to go buy a socket befor i can take the cover off. yes i did a search. no years in the posts so what good is that. they changed size all the time.

i havent a clue!!! last one i did was on a Canyon and we had touble finding the right one.. got something like a 1 1/4" and beat it on there. not advisable.

If you got a few bucks. Mac tools has a axle nut set I picked up for 200$ CND and it's got all the sizes from 29-40mm. Then you'd always have the right size!

1 7/16 was close. it could have been pounded on but the 35mm fit perfact
