I am not putting it in until late August when I am on vacation but I will come back and post my review on it.

Thanks
Its not to bad in the city, It will actually feel right after a few days.

I just finished the Circle D 278mm 2600-2800 converter install on my truck. Took me about 6 hours by myself, dropped the pan and changed the filter/fluid while in the process. I do have a lift and transmission jack. First impressions are good. I was really concerned that it would be bothersome as a daily driver in stop and go traffic but, that is not the case. I would describe it as comfortably loose compared to the stocker. I have not had enough time to give a full review but will do so when I log a few miles.

I put about 120 miles on the new converter today. I have a few issues that need to be addressed that hopefully the tuner can take care of.

1) RPM fluctuates 100-200 up and down while cruising at 50-55 MPH.

2) Soft,Lag,lazy going into lock-up.

3) Unlocks while cruising when the pedal is lifted. This is very annoying when the cruise is set and the road is not dead flat. Does not unlock going up the hills(which is great) but unlocks everytime going downhill and then you have to go through the lazy lockup over and over again.

Anybody had/have the same experience and are you familiar with what and where the settings should be?

If not Im sure Justin at Blackbear can dail me in if I sent him some datalogging.

Its going to be a good mod when I get it tuned in.

I sent Justin at Blackbear Performance a datalog file of the above mentioned problems and HE NAILED IT. No more surging/fluctuating RPM and my lockup is quicker/firmer.

I have to give Justin credit where credit is due. The turnaround time was fast and he got it right the first time.

Thanks to all that provided me with feedback before I purchased this converter. It is a great mod for even a pretty much stock truck like mine.

A tune and a converter makes a totally different truck.

Thanks again
Lonnie
