Converter with stock cam

Just as a comparison, here's my stock 2008 5.3 with a Circle D 278mm 3000 rpm converter. Drives great...go for it!
At the very end I mash it from a stop, if I still had factory tires it would be a lot faster lol

I daily drive my 07 rcsb with a circle d 3c 258mm 34-3600 with no problems. Drive ability is good and locks in overdrive. Just got back from a 850 round trip to Florida and averaged 21 mpg with 4.11's. Do the converter swap. My converted made as much difference alone as the gear swap and LT's combined!

To the OP I would go with the 3000-3200 circle d. I believe that the yank is going to be to tight. Mine will only brake stall to about 2300.

I pulled the trigger on a Circle D 278mm 2600-2800 converter today. Pretty much stock truck except the tune and cat back and thats all I plan to do with it other than the converter. I think it will be all I need for a stock cammed daily driver. I am afraid if I had went any higher on the stall it would be aggravating to drive in city traffic. I am not putting it in until late August when I am on vacation but I will come back and post my review on it.
Thanks

i too am running a circle-d 4c in my stock 4.8 (only mods is pacesetter lts and ory). its pretty hard on gas in town with how i drive, and having 4.10s, but at the same time it feels like it gained 100 hp... i would run this combo again in a heart beat.
