Actually I've had both. But I didn't realize this problem was really only w/ the older serial model. I didn't have the USB one for very long but I did have the serial for quite a while.

Sigh- where's Bill when ya need him? OK, I found the fried fuse, replaced it, talked to the ECM, or so I thought. Plugged into garae wall socket to power up the lap top plugged into the ALDL closed the door and switched ignition to ON and commenced reading. Everything looked like a normal read, BUT- it didn't read everything. under the Transmission tab you get the tabs for Auto Shift Speed, Shift Properties, General Pressure, Auto TCC, Manual C.A.G.S. and Torquw Management. I get nothing under any of the tabs excpet for Manual C.A.G.S.
Consequently I have an old read from the Escalade that Shows everything; I've tried the Basic, Standard and Advanced views, but nothing. Anyone else ever see anything like this? Help...............

OK, good news- I tried again a bit later on and got a full read. Now the issue that it says something about TCM communications. I've emailed HPT tech support and I'll got from there. I'll let y'all know what developes, so far from what I see there's some good delay in shifts and a bit of TM.............
