LLoyd, I'm now the third guy to compliment your consistency and the second to ask about your launch. You're doing SOMETHING right ...what is it?

It was a private track rental for our ASA-Houston members.

Been racing since the old Houston International Drag Strip (in Santa Fe) days. Started racing in 1972, LOL! That should give you a hint about how ancient I am, LOL! Did a BUNCH of racing there, and at Eastex Drag Strip in Porter, while they were around. I don't get to the strip much any more, maybe once or twice a year, but I still get a kick out of it.

Scales weren't open, dang it! Private event so VERY few track personnel were present.

Thanks for the props, everyone!

Phil and all: Stock 275 Eagle LS tires. I try to go through the driest part of the water box, then do a heck of a burnout - at least through 2nd gear. I also try to be consistent in my burnout and staging technique, and launch at the same RPM each pass.

I only spun once, on my 6th pass - where my short time was 2.209. The starter wanted us guys on street tires to go around the water box because the starting line was getting damp and causing problems for the faster cars. My burnout sucked and then it spun for a bit.

This truck leaves so poorly that I try to leave on the 2nd yellow each pass. You can't see the "-" sign on that 5th pass, but I red-lighted on that pass with a -.005!

I can only WISH that lack of traction was an issue, unfortunately it's not . . .

Starting line RPMs of 1400-1500 seemed to give me my best 60' times. Much lower or higher hurt the short times.

All runs made in "D". Pat G has the TCM set up to upshift @ 6000 RPM in each gear.

Oh, and I pulled my ABS fuse #9.

Ok your doing it right, but when I was stock I only ran an 1/8 at first a revved to 1600 and D traction off did a 9.72 after a few runs my best times was when I dropped it to M3 and only hit 3 gears and revved 1,000 to 1100 and started hitting 9.5s left and right and ended doing a 9.47 without the tailgate lol
