Have you ever looked at a heavy duty truck tune? They have less timing than their 1500 counterparts b/c there's more chance of knock with the heavier loads.

I put a bone stock 2500HD LQ4 tune in my truck and it felt like a complete turd.

She has been given missinformation evidently.

And if neither of those tuners are responding to your inquiries, then either they are not getting the messages, or you're being annoying or stupid with them.

Ok, well then there's something I've learned. I'm not knowing that once you jump to the 2500's it's automatically an HD. And especially with how they're being built now...

And I'm sorry that I wasn't more clear. If there's going to be a new tune, wouldn't the old one be flashed out? I'm just pointing to the amount of processing.. just like a computer at home, there's more memory available.

More than likely you know a lot more than I, and I am willing to learn.

If you compare a 6.0 tune from a 1500 to a 6.0 tune from a 2500HD you'll see that the 2500HD tune is a much lower performance oriented tune. For example, a stock 2500HD isn't even tuned to go into power enrichment until WOT for 60 seconds! That alone costs 30rwhp according to Tyler here.

The only differences in computers that I am aware of, as far as memory is concerned, is the 99-02 PCMs have half the memory as the 03+ PCMs.

She is talking about the physical PCM, not the tune that is flashed in it factory.
