Default 6.2 exhaust ideas bored w current setu

First mod i did on the truck when it had less than 2 miles on the odometer was magnaflow muffler on stock tailpipe with the oe gm performance tip and knocked out the 3rd cat 3 years later ready to change things up. My wife made a comment asking bout the single donkey dong tailpipe and it set the gears into motion

The magnaflow is better than stock but just too quiet i want something rowdier but not messing w manifolds or cats. Thinking bout somehow splitting the 3.5 by the rear exh flange with a y pipe into dual 2.5 pipes and goin to magnaflow 2.5 inch round mufflers and using one for each tailpipe section and dropping one pipe under each rear quarter at a discreet down angle to hide the exit location. Anyone care to volunteer thoughts on how this may sound. I want it about 20 percent louder than the current setup but really wwant to avoid a system that drones its *** off

I think you should put LT's on there. I put OBX's on mine with the catted Y and it made my completely stock pipe louder. The OBX 6.2 headers are very nice for cheap headers. Had them on for a year now with no problems except for the bolts working lose and those were easy fixes. Perfect fit except they touch the tranny crossover a little. No need for a hack job I'm very happy for $700 shipped...

Friend of mine just cut his y pipe and did dual 3" and exited them in the stock location side by side. He left the front two cats and manifolds and did bullets for mufflers and it sounds really really good. Put some nice clean polished stainless tips on under the bumper and it turned out really nice.

I have Pacesetter LTs, no cats, 14" magnaflow and stock resonator on my Tahoe, sounds perfect. Loud when I get on it, mellow enough at low rpms and cruising that there is no drone. Mines only a 5.3, but still sounds good for what it is

I don't have a need for headers I'm just looking for a change of sound and exhaust exit locations only.

Would you possibly be able to post a sound clip. That sounds pretty much what I overall have in mind and what I would like for this truck. The only thing I'm not sure about is doing full true dual route because on my last VMAX I ran full dual on it killed the low end off the light performance. BUT on that truck I did the full exhaust with gutted cats and a cam at the same time. I think it may have been more of a need for a stall converter than the duals killing it.

Anyone here have a 6.2 they have dualed with stock cats and manifolds what was the performance outcome did it run stock or did you loose some low end out of it.
I just found that magnaflow has a 3.5 in dual 2.5 out muffler that I have not seen before on their website

Considering I want it louder and already have a magnaflow on the truck is true duals and xpipe with bullets or a similar muffler probably the best route?
Or just go with above magnaflow single in 3.5 and twin tailpipes?

Any and all suggestions thoughts or ideas welcome I really only want to do this once and I want it louder but don't want it can't stand it loud.

I suggest cherrybomb extreme 3.5 in. single inlet dual outlet if you want, and run it the way you want. I did my set up with 3.5 in. single in/out then used the stock pipe to cut and angle my exhaust before the rear tire like the "Lighting". It doesnt stick outside the body and has the perfect angle.
