ur butt meter senses a difference nothing else matters
i was close about the rims lol sorry.
the dyno is tuning purpose only. a lot of people say my 6.2 numbers are low but i dynoed in 2nd gear, and you can not lock the converter, plus i had 3:42 gears. come ride in the truck i bet it puts you pulls you back hard it's not a nitrous truck, or a FI truck so it's not that cool.

FI is boring to be honest.. cams and stuff gets very exciting and more interesting.. anyways back to the 1hp gain on the dyno!.. i would go to another tuner not saying the tuner uve been to is bad or anything...try getting another tuner to take a look at ur tune to see if theres more out of it and what adjustments he could do.. could u post a picture of a graph?

I did not keep the dyno printout. I have seen enough of them to see what was going on. The tuner is experienced and knows his stuff. I have been messing around this stuff for a while. The major thing that needed to be corrected was the A/F ratios, which is typical. Almost all of the factory tunes I have seen on Corvettes and GM trucks are rich (safe). When he got through tuning, the A/F ratio was straight and smooth at 12.7. He also made some timing adjustments. Despite only a 1 HP and 5 TQ, remember this was after about 8 pulls in 110 degrees Las Vegas heat (101 in the shop). I suspect that if I were to take the truck back and do a first time puill it would be higher than 291. What he was able to do is raise the HP and TQ throughout the rpm range. I can feel that when I drive the truck on the street. My surprise was the huge difference between the rated 403 HP and the RWHP of 290. I have dynoed many Corvettes and the percent of loss from rated to RWHP was not that great. So my question was why? I assume it was the transfer case and the heavier wheel/tire combo compared to my Corvettes. The tuner showed me several dyno graphes of previous stock 6.2 4X4 pulls and they were similar to the HP and TQ of mine. I asked the question on this forum to see if others had similar results on their stock 6.2 4X4 trucks. Thanks for all the inputs.
