Air shocks suck for one. I hated mine.

My roads are very shitty so I bought some helper bags and ever since I put them little puppies on, I have never had a problem. Even when towing my bike around.

no problems with road humps.. i only ever just hit the front and im long bed so about the same wheel base as ex cab short bed. as far as bottoming out.. i only had an inch or so travel before hitting the frame so i made a 1.5" +/- notch and only once bottomed out since then. even with about 1k lbs close to the cab i have no problems
