3:42 to 4:56 gear swap
#1
So I have a 2010 Denali 6.2 awd 3:42 gears and Im thinking of doing a gear change to 4:56 but Im not sure if it can be done without spending big dollars to do it. I know that 4:10s can be done but was hoping for the 4:56 as I have a 35 foot travel trailer that I tow Any information would be great
Thanks Guys

Do Denalis have a 10 bolt? if so, you can get a package deal from Ron's for probably $500 or less, then get quote from local installer, I'm guessing in the range of $750-1200 for labor. 4.10 and 4.56 shouldn't cost any different from each other, just depends on gear brand choice and local labor rates.

I have 4.88 in my 2010 silverado from 3.42 and there are not abs or any other codes. If you have a 10 bolt in the back and 8.25 in the front make sure you get the correct pinion head bearing for the rear diff and the carrier locks for the front diff. Those things changed on the newer trucks.
