The gauges on these trucks aren't very accurate. Didn't read all the responses, so this may be redundant.

My gauge barely moves, but my Insight shows me the true change.

 

Changed oil pump 2 times nothing changed..,was around 40 hot idle before the replacement of all lifters and cam, it's DOD ..?! Also cold start noise never fixed

 

my 6.2 does that, but according to my Dash Hawk i have 31psi and when its at 40 *cruise* i have 47psi so i dunno wth is up with the cluster. my temp says 210* but the DH also says 196* so i say f it. as long as i can see what's going on with the motor i really dont care. i do want to upgrade to an oil cooler though, the 220-225* oil worries me a tad in stop and go traffic

 

But they will tell you don't do that because these engines need the high temp to get red of the of the blow by stuff and vapor bla bla bla....
