One way & pbly easiest is buy an Auto Cal & tune from one of the efi live tuners then you can reflash your ecm / tcm back and forth from "tuned " to stock tune in minutes any time you want

$549 for the AutoCal at blackbearperformance.com
He is also an EFI Live tuner and provides tunes for around $300, although I believe it's cheaper if you buy a tune with the device at the same time. This is the route I'm trying to go myself.

cant decide which way to go with my truck, Have a 2010 6.2l. Trying to figure out the right gear ratio to use. I drive it hard most the time. My mods thus far are a volant cai, diablosport tuner, pacesetter longtube headers true dual through 2 magnaflow mufflers , 22 inch rims . stock ratio is 3.42

So far with just 2 weeks in the 6.2 CCSB w/3.42s I can only keep it at around 16.4 babying it, the EPA rating on the window sticker is 12/18. After seeing this I'm really tempted to go with 4.10s...can't imagine gaining performance AND economy. Both of my trucks have had the same 18" wheels/tires BTW.
If the XFE model is designed for maximum fuel economy why the hell is GM putting 3.08s back there?

The chances of the dealership looking at your ecm are slim for most jobs. The chances of them checking your rear end are even slimmer...even still, although the warranty is nice, don't let it stop you from making your truck fit you. A lot of the mods can be easily reversed anyways, so no need nailbiting while waiting for some jackass at the dealership telling you it's ok to personalize YOUR truck. Especially in TX...there are more than enuff ppl on here that can help you out with these jobs that the dealership won't do and you can even learn in the process. Don't get me wrong...I don't have the money to be replacing all the parts on my trucks either, but when it comes down to it, when your warranty runs out and you start making mods on your truck, what then? Will you magically have more money than you do now? The warranty is nice, but I'd say don't use it as a crutch to hold you down. Enjoy your truck...that's why you bought it in the first place.

I'd say go for it. If my rear end goes out again I'm going with 4:10s as well. I have 3.73 right now. If you go with the 4.10 and a good tune, you will see more power and better fuel economy than the window lickers tell you.
You know...this was frikkin hilarious to me. I think it would be the funniest to all of us military members who so often get death by pp.

The more money comes from not having a $500 payment lol. I am also from Jacksonville, NC (Verona to be exact). But it is becoming a non-issue. In a couple of posts above this I was trying to find a way to put it back to stock because I have to go to Germany and if I need engine warranty work, i am sure they will peekk at my stuff.
