Default 2008 Chevy DIC Controls?

I have a 2008 Chevy 1500 CC 5.3 and it didn't come with the DIC controls, can this be added on?

Yes, it can. Here is a very good explanation of it. It works to all GMT900 trucks IIRC. I did it to my Work Truck.

So far, all the GMT900 trucks I have torn apart (even W/T and crew cab LS) have the plug in the dash for the advanced driver information center. I've only looked at one 2007 and a few 2009s.

The part number you're looking for is: GM 19159438

Seems to run about $85 at the dealership.

I have created an information page here (click)

This is what you get in the package:

check the thread below about steering wheel trim. Disconnect your battery like 30 mins before hand to be on safe side
