20 tire question on a lowered Avalanche
#1
I have a 3" front drop and 4" rear drop on factory Chevy wheels. Im running 275/55/20 factory tires now.
I have some rubbing on tight turns.
I want to go with a tire set that wont rub and wont look stupid.
Was considering a 255/50/20???

I'd think a 255/55 would be alright.
Going from a 275 to a 255 will drop the height of the tire a quite a bit.
The 255/50 will almost 2in shorter than stock size in overall diameter, and roughly .9in of sidewall height.
The 255/55 is 1in less in overall diameter and .5in in sidewall height shorter.
Or go with a 275/50/20. It's 1.1in shorter in overall diameter and .5in shorter in the sidewall. That way it's still got the wider look.
