Default 14 bolt in the Tahoe/Burb/Avy?

I'm really itching to get a SUV again, and I'm wondering which of the options is the most "mod friendly" down the line.

Can the 6L80's take some abuse? Or are they swapped out for 6L90's? Can the 90 be put in? My goal tentatively is to have 400+ ft lbs from 2K rpm upwards. I really miss that "big block" feel.

Which come with a 14 bolt rear? Or is that only for the 6.2 CCSB's?

Sorry for the noobish questions...

probably not what you're looking for, but a 2500 sub will have the 9.5 inch 14 bolt as well.
