Headers and Magnacharger
#1
Hey guys looking for some guidance, and or suggestions for my truck. Its an 09 with a 5.3 and i currrently have the following mods, but of course want more. Gibson short tube headers, k&n intake, catback flowmaster exhaust, and a dyno tune. I am out of the states right now so i don't have my numbers available, but will have some money to spend here in a few months so wanting to get all my ducks in a row. So here is what i would like to do, and again any guidance and or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have done my research and i think im going with the new tvs magnacharger, just would like to know what kind of numbers i can expect. I also want to totally rework the exhaust by adding longtubes, i like the ARH just not the price, but i want it done right so if thats what it takes then it doesn't bother me. Heres my question regarding exhaust, has anyone ran true duels with an xpipe instead of the offroad y pipe. I would like to do 3 inch true duels with an x pipe unless the y pipe is a better option, it would be cheaper just didn't know if anyone had tried this and what kind of numbers they had HP TQ etc. And also what mufflers did you use, i like my flowmasters just need to be loader but I am sure the longtubes and no cats will take care of that. want a good aggressive tone just not too loud.Lastly where are some places to look for a good deal on this stuff. Thanks for the help.

Pacesetter LTs 1 3/4" w 3" collectors then make a custom true dual H pipe set up with 2.5" exhaust. problem will be the gas tank gets in the way so id just run LTs and OR-y into stock exhaust. Skipperdaddy had a Pat G spec'd cam, Roush TVS1900 S/C, OBX 1 3/4" LTs into 2.5" collectors with 3" exhaust, Truckshop tune, stock 6spd, stock 3:42s and 20s 522rwhp!!!!!!

Really depends on howe far you want to take it. Better flowing exhaust will net more top end but may cost bottom which really isn't an issue with a Magnacharger
Headers into true duals, X-Pipe (better scavenging) into some free flowing mufflers and you're good to go.
I run Borla, not the best sounding but they work

Hey guys thanks for the info, and skipperdaddy i was checking out your truck on here last night,WOW i would like to know more. Was going to wait to do the cam swap, but 522rwhp sounds real good!! I was thinking of the Z06 cam but it sounds like the Pat G is the way to go. Sign me up, how do i get one of these? And Niff I think I may just run the ory unless anyone else chimes in with some other ideas. Anyway thanks again and would love some info on where to get this stuff.

the ARH headers aren't cheap but they're great quality, easy to install and they work.
I have kooks 1 7/8 on one vette and ARH on the other and the difference is night and day. Having dealt with both companies face to face since I'm local, the attitude you see from each only makes the ARH's that much better.
PS, my truck doesn't even have headers...you need more cubes!
