Default 14 bolt rear

I know the 6.0 and 6.2 got the 14 bolt rears stock, do they come with drum brakes at all? I'm hoping the answer is yes, because that means it's a bolt in deal.

Actually I think they all came with disc brakes as it was part of the max trailering package or under the option code NHT to even get the 9.5 14 bolt. It is possible tho they came with drums as GM does so many dif configurations it's crazy.

All 2WD/4WD (not AWD) 6.2 trucks have the 14-bolt with rear discs, NHT or not.

It's a GM RPO code designating what they call in the books the "Max trailer package". Started back in 2006 with the first LQ9 powered Vortec Max 1500's. 14 bolt diff, heavy duty cooling system, either 6.0 liter or 6.2 ( year dependent) and so on.

I can't say for the 07-08 Vmax trucks but all the 6.2's have discs on their 14 bolts...... I have read the 3.73 geared Vortec Maxes in 2007 and 2008 have rear drums and the ones with 4.10's do. But then the 3.73 geared trucks could have discs if they were equipped with Stabili-track. It just seems to get confusing honestly. Probably incorrect but it seems some people with those have drums in the back.

The 06-07 classic Vortec Max trucks were drum equipped 14 bolts as well. Are the diffs from the GMT800's a direct swap for the 900's? Width wise and perch/ shock placement?
