09 + CTS-V converter????

Well, I like the way the it drives and everything. Haven't had time to go to the track and test any wot lockup.the whine is still there if I turn the radio and hvac off. But everything checks out great. Guess it's just a noisy converter. I may see if gm will replace it, as I doubt a Cadillac owner would settle for the noise if it was a warranty replacment. It should have a 12 month parts warranty anyways.

I've got less than 100 miles on mine and I have trans whine also. Doesnt really bother me, but I do notice. Drives basically the same to me, but I haven't hit it with full power yet.

Interesting. I've given mine hell and put a few hundred miles on. No issues yet.

Been looking into this upgrade recently, just not much out there on it yet. Think this would work well with mild cam upgrade on pretty much stock dod delete 5.3 trucks. Anyone have a similar set up?
The torque from a 5.3 is much different from a lsa.....not sure how much different from stock it will really feel?

I'm really loving mine so far minus the transmission now sounding like an old Muncie 4 speed. It's at its worst when manual downshifting/engine braking. Sounds just like a loose transmission gear set.
Having said that, my truck drives like stock but when I brake boost it in 4wd, it builds boost alot quicker and stalls up closer to 2300rpm before it pushes through my brakes. Makes for 4wd wheelspin taking off. My brake system is all stock except for dimpled/slotted front rotors and ebc yellow stuff pads. I'm tempted to either convert to rear discs or hydro boost to hold it at the line better. However, I'm afraid it'll be too harsh on the drivetrain, especially the front half. I already get some nasty vibes from my front driveshaft and diff but that's mostly due to my lift kit. A dual Carden front driveshaft would help alot, I just refuse to pay over $400 for the pro comp one. I have already built a bracket from my lifts skid plate to help keep the front diff from wrapping up.
I have noticed my transmission runs cooler with the cts v converter and wot lockup in 3rd gear has no slip in my heavy turbo pig.

Good to know thanks, I'm still want to do this mod. I'm just not sure if it's something I can do my self. With out a lift and no experience LOL.
