I am in the process of swapping out the lame 5.3L LMG engine in my '07 Avalanche with a 6.0L LS2 out of '07 Trailblazer SS. I have the wiring harness and ECM out of the TBSS. Wanting to put a 6L80/90 behind the LS2. LS2 has been rebuilt with Trick Flow 550 hp head /cam kit.

Questions: Should I use the ECM that is currently in the Avalanche for the 5.3/4L60 setup or use the ECM from the '07 TBSS? Will re-flashing the existing ECM work or do I have to the use the ECM out of the TBSS for the different reluctor?

Has anyone used the TBMSport T42-T43 Interface Module & Harness?

Wanting to get everything sorted before I dive into the swap at Thanksgiving. Plan is to complete this year. Thanx.

as for the 07 engine you have to make sure it is a 58x engine aka an E40 ecm not a 24x engine. if i recall early 07 tbss was still 24x im not for certain though.

as for tbmsport, he is a great guy. willing to help where he can. he has his tbss running on that same control module i believe. he has been designing that for a long time.

yet the avalanche doesnt use that its just your basic 6.2/6L80e swap harness like i did. repin what doesnt match your oem harness. the tcm is in the trans so you would only reuse your ecm from the avalanche
