well the truck runs.

come to find out the hard way you CAN NOT put a 09 or a 10 tune in a 08 ECM. completely different operating system = fries the ecm.

got a vin for a 2008 Denali 2wd 6.2/6spd grabbed a ECM from the dealer FYI: 350.00 after taxes
i got them to reflash the ECM/TCM 115.00 after taxes (i do have my tow/haul button, have not tried the manual buttons yet)
i had Geoff Skinner @ EPS change the vin in my ECM/TCM. great guy to deal with an knows a lot of ****. once again, THANK YOU Geoff! also that Camaro SS is just INSANE
stopped by so Truckshop could throw a basic tune in the truck, and got the truck to run but had to do a case relearn. its hard to make it idle because its straight LTs right now thanks to the transmission pan.
im going to drop the truck off at the exhaust tomorrow and let them work their magic with my POS.

so yeah, we're way ahead of the project price that i wanted, but well worth it. IF i would have had more info on the 08 vs the 09 ecm/tune stuff i could have saved about 500.00 lol. hope no one else tries this!!!

buy all the parts and ill do the swap. tuning is on you though! i recommed having the dealer flash in a 5.3/6spd tune so the fuel tables wont be too far off
