Default Dod delete part list

this is a list to do a DOD delete on a 5.3, the same thing would go for the 6.0 and 6.2 but you would need L92 head gaskets *ONLY IF IT HAS DOD ALSO* but you'd have to purchase the front cover.

LS2 timing cover sensor gasket and seal 12633906 (only needed if you have VVT)

Cam Gears *there are 2 options*

Single bolt *you already have this cam gear if you have a 4.8/5.3*
3 bolt
Part Number: 12586481

Head Gaskets

Part Number: 12498544 *this is for 2 5.3 head gaskets, not the single pack*

LS7 Lifters

Part Number: 12499225

LS2 Dampener *i recommend to swap this because the factory tension is JUNK*

Part Number: 12588670

Lifter Guide *you need 4 of these*

Part Number: 12595365

Valley Cover *without AFM and without the PVC vent (known as the 4.8 valley cover. it is just like the LS3/7 valley cover just half the price)*

Part Number: 12598832

LS9 head gasket: 12622033 *you need 2*

L92/LS3 (6.2) head gasket: 12610046 *you need 2*

6.0 head gasket: 12589227 *you need 2*

info added from AUTOT3K
non VVT front cover: 12633906 (only needed if you have VVT)

Various Gaskets
Water Pump X 2 12630223
Valve Cover X 2 12637683

Oil Pump O-Ring 12584922 - orange

ARP Head Bolts for 05+ block 134-3610
ARP LS crank bolt (except LS7) 234-2503
ARP cam retainer plate bolts 134-1002
ARP cam sprocket bolts 134-1003

Your total for the cam/dod delete with parts will range about 1600-1700 depending where you can save on costs

i was also doing some reading that the diablo tuner gives you a choice to turn it on or off will you have any problems if you do it this way for the time being ?

Same question as the dude above me...if you just want a stock truck that doesn't turn off cylinders and you just turn it off with the tune and be done?

That will be fine, it just needs to be done when you will be running a high lift cam it not then just turn it off in the tune.

So on the cam gear all I have to do is change it to a 3 bolt and that's it?

Yes if changing to a three bolt cam, the three bolt cam gear is all thats needed, unless you wish to change the whole timing set/tensioner.
