The vette in the pictures there had a big bulge in the hood, so that's probably how they got it to fit. The thing that throws me off in those pics are the truck like manifolds on it.

Didn't somebody lose thier job for letting that engine get its picture taken?

GM High Tech Performance pulished those pictures in their magazine.

GMPP has a habit of testing new powerplants in trucks as its a lot easier to work on(and keep under wraps), a truck also loads the engine much more thana 3000 lb car would so testing in a truck is good for tesing durability.

The engine in the pictures is the LS9 for the Vette and is destined in future trucks as well.

i would LOVE to see that but unfortunately GM doesnt have the ***** to make that truck with that motor even if they did it would be backed with a 60e with TQ mgmt

I think GM is calling these motors the ULtra series...surposed to be OHC GM motor in the works. That is what I read in motor trend
