Default Wind noise prob?

Hi, I'm new here, duh LOL! Great forum. I've been reading the posts for the last week and see alot of information can be gained from this site.
I have an 05 GMC Sierra extended cab Z71, and have owned several previous GM trucks(02 2500HD, 01 Z71 EC, 99 Tahoe, 95 Z71 RC), so hopefully, I can help with some questions here as well.
Right now though, I need some help. When I get my truck to 45-60 mph, something on the exterior(most likely) causes a wind whistle noise. Sometimes it's louder than at other times. If I'm going 70, then decelerate(sp), it will do this noise while going from 60 down to 45 then stop. I've driven an 05 GMC Sierra CC 4x4 and it does the same thing. I don't have a bug deflector on the hood.
I'm thinking it most likely is the mirrors and maybe the front end pitch of the truck. If it's very windy out, it is much louder. I've ordered some chrome mirror inserts and will put those on next weekend as well as the quiksnap ventvisors, and I will raise the torsion bars to give it about an inch in the front to change the angle, but has anyone else noticed this whistle and have been able to do anything to fix it?
Thank you for any help!
Oh yeah, I am also going to be installing(once the weather gets a little nicer) a Magnaflow dual out the back catback, Volant, Carriage Works billet grille(need to cut out the stock one), and programming with Predator(I know, I know). If anyone has any tips with any of these mods, I'm all ears.
Steve

02sierraz71_5.3 - Thank you for the welcome! I did read through that
thread about a week ago, but was wondering if that is actually where mine is coming from. I've never opened the rear pop out windows yet. Does the noise go away with the windows out? I might have to try that after work today to check.

Now that I think about it, I don't think it's my rear windows. I drove a Crew Cab that was on the lot(new 05 model) and it did the same exact thing.
Dang, this noise is ticking me off.

Put some packing tape around the glass of both rear windows and then go drive it and see if your noise goes away. Bet it will...

That is a good suggestion. I will try that(when it's not snowing, grrrrr..)
I wonder why it would still do it on a crew cab though?

Have you checked to see if your a/c controls are on recirculate? Mine makes that noise when it is on recirculate, and it goes away when I turn that off. Apparently there is no seal on that flap that they use to control that so it leaks air like a sob.
