Default Wierd rear end noise

02 Silverado
When I am ALMOST to a complete stop, a vibration/ squeak comes from what sounds like is the rear. Not sure If it brake or not. I know the caliper bracket on the rear right needs replaced, from when I changed the rear pads and rotors about 5k ago. It has made this noise the whole time I have had the truck. Oh and it also does as soon as I take off. Only for a split second, but it is driving me nuts. It is def not the squeal of pads. Any thoughts would be great.

Leaf spring squeak? Try lubricating the spring & shackle bushings.

That's definitely possible too...is the truck lowered? Sometimes the leaf spring bushings will give you a squeak. This can often times be cured by loosening the leaf spring mounting bolts and re-torquing them, while the truck is on the ground with all of it's weight on it.

Do you have a regular cab or extended cab? My regular cab was doing this when the support cables were installed.

It's not lowered. It is a extended cab Z71. All OEM except shocks and it did that long before the shocks were installed. I will try lubing the shackles and what not. I would think if it were the u joint it would have gone out by now, I have put about 40k on it while making the noise. Which support cables were referring to?

Yeah, I did some research on the slip yoke, I think that is probably it. It will have to wait for some warmer weather since it is cold as ***** here right now and I have no garage.
