It's just a resistor in the IAT plug. The trucks have the IAT sensor built into the MAF so we don't have that same plug.
On the Fbodys if you put a specific value resistor in the plug you can fool the computer into thinking it's cold out and it will add some timing. You can also make it look very hot to the computer if you want to pull a few degrees of timing.
If you've ever priced a resistor you know they don't cost $8, more like a couple cents.
I've actually got a few of those mods still in the pack in the center console of my car and I'll sell them for half that guys price if anyone wants one. :p
