Anyone know what the factory hood weighs vs a fiberglass and carbon fiber hood?

Yep- IMO paint it. Mine is carbon fiber and I planned to paint from the beginning although I must admit I did leave the carbon fiber to show through on the scoop with the word HEMI. This hood may be about to say buh bye. I found out about a new shaker that sounds like it's going to be pretty sweet.

 

HOw heavy is the carbon fiber hood Colt?

 

Here is a pic of the carbon fiber hood from APC part# 101025 for 99-02 GMC Sierra. Thought it would be listed up to 06', didn't think the GMC hoods changed in 03'???



btw, saw it listed for around $1,000. Free shipping though.

 

yeah they 03's hood is a little different, but my fiberglass ram air hood is much lighter than the stock hood, i could have put it on myself but it would have took a little longer, but i'm a stout MF'er...hahaha j/k
