Default whats a good cam?

ok heres my question. im about to change a leaking timeing chain cover in a week or so. and i figured OH HELL if im gonna have all the **** off i might as well put a cam in while im at it... so there lies my question im not really sure what kind of cam to go with.i need something thats gonna have a good power range around 2000-4500rpm. so i need a more low end cam. right now i have plenty of top end just not any low end.---Oh yeah my engine is a carb. small block 350 that replaced the 305 in my 81 serri---im looking for something thats not gonna totally kill my kill me but is gonna have some great power on the street.soo i guess if someone could suggest something id like to hear some Exh/Int.Dir---lobe--lift #'s if you would plz.

thx.

Edelbrock performer RPM cams are very good cams, that might be in a good powerband for you, they say 1500-6500 powerband, the regular performer is idle to 5500 if youd rather have that. they are good cams
