Brake fluid is different, very volatile from what I understand (i.e. no plastic containers, metal only - moisture absorption is an issue, etc.)

here is the answer to the question, Strait from valvoline:

Thank you for your question! The Valvoline Company does not have a documented shelf life exposure on finished motor oil. We would expect
under optimal conditions that the product would be stable for an extended
period of time.

In some cases the additives will fall out. But it's no big deal if you shake up the quarts before you use them.

With that much oil you might want to ebay some of it off.

you have enough for about 50 oil changes and if you change it 4 times a year it's going to take over 10 years to use all of it.

That's good!!!

Actually I travel about 18,000-20,000 mi/year on my silverado alone and 2,000 a year on my 70 C-10. The Silverado gets religious oil changes every 2,000 miles regardless of the driving style. Many may say that this is a waste of oil but I drive the **** outta my stuff and I've always been a firm believer of keeping clean oil in at all times along with keeping your motor well tuned (no misfires) and you should be able to drive it as hard as you want without damage. Also keeping it cool is obviously a large factor as well. Anways, at a rate of 9 or 10 oil changes per /yr in the silvy, then my C-10 gets 1,000 mile oil changes. The reason for that is it's a 500HP 468 that when driven at highway speeds (75MPH) sits at only 3800 RPM's Tat along with only a 5qt oil pan, you're better safe than sorry keeping the oil clean in that along with the heat stress put on the oil by that big block
