I do too the dash has been tore apart for the last three weeks while working on it. It's only after the wife and twirps go to bed that I can work on it and get it done. I'm nearing the end now.

Why not just find a wrecked truck and take the whole HVAC assembly as one piece and plug it in place of the old one?

When I did my evap core, I was able to pull the whole assembly out with the harness and all. It just had a huge plug on the right side to hook it into the main cab harness.

Anyone tried this?

There is a sensor with a fan in the headliner above the drivers head in mine.

Difference is in the main crossbody harness under the dash. THE HVAC box and actuators are the same manual or auto climate control. Just a few extra sensors and different type of blower control module.
